Volume wave · Movement · Fullness

A volume wave is intended to give the hair manageable movement and fullness, rather than automatically creating a strongly defined curl. How soft or visible the result appears depends on hair length, haircut, wrapping pattern, starting texture and care. A careful personal assessment therefore comes before the service.

01

What kind of movement would you like?

We begin by clarifying whether you mainly want lift near the roots, softly falling movement or a more visible structure. Images can show the direction you prefer, but we always translate them to your hair length, density and natural fall.

Your daily routine matters too: do you want the hair to air-dry most of the time, use a diffuser or style it with a traditional blow-dry? The planned shape needs to suit the steps you genuinely want to use at home.

02

Assessing hair condition and previous treatments

Chemically lightened, repeatedly coloured, highly porous or mechanically stressed hair may have limited suitability for a reshaping service. We assess stability, elasticity, mid-lengths and ends and discuss any concerns openly.

Previous plant-based colour, straightening or another reshaping treatment can influence how the hair responds. Please give us a complete treatment history. If the starting point does not appear appropriate for a responsible service, we will not recommend proceeding simply to meet a preferred date.

03

Wrapping pattern and haircut work together

The size, direction and placement of the rods determine where movement is created. At the same time, the haircut influences whether the new structure can fall freely or is stretched by too much weight. We therefore plan both elements together.

The result may develop differently in individual sections. Very long or heavy areas often show less bounce than shorter sections. We explain in advance what kind of effect is realistic for your starting point and where the limitations may lie.

04

Care and styling after the reshaping service

After the appointment, the hair benefits from a suitable routine that is not overloaded. Gentle cleansing, careful detangling, appropriate care and reduced mechanical friction can support both feel and form. We show you how to distribute products sparingly.

Blow-drying technique and heat protection also affect the visible movement. You receive guidance for either a softer finish or greater definition. A volume wave does not, however, replace a suitable haircut or the everyday decision about how you want to style the texture.

05

Appointment length, guide price and refresh

Time and price depend on hair length and density, wrapping work, product requirements, haircut and finish. The price list gives a guide; we agree on a more specific range after seeing your hair and discussing the desired result.

The structure grows out with the natural hair and may gradually relax through the lengths. There is no single interval that suits every refresh. Please mention the volume wave when enquiring so that sufficient time can be reserved.
